Restaurant India News: Seoul Dak Opens First Mall Outlet at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla

Korean restaurant brand Seoul Dak has opened its first mall outlet at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, expanding its presence in Mumbai and marking a key milestone in its growth journey. The launch aims to make authentic Korean cuisine more accessible to the city's growing community of K-culture enthusiasts, families, young professionals, and food lovers while strengthening the brand's footprint in one of Mumbai's busiest lifestyle destinations.

After building a loyal following through its high-street restaurants, Seoul Dak has entered the mall dining segment to reach a broader consumer base. The expansion comes amid rising interest in Korean food, driven by the growing popularity of K-dramas, K-pop, Korean beauty, and contemporary Korean culture across India.

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant streets of Seoul, the new outlet features contemporary interiors with neon accents, playful design elements, and an energetic ambience. Designed to accommodate everything from quick meals to leisurely dining and group gatherings, the space reflects the youthful spirit of modern South Korea while offering guests an immersive cultural experience.

Staying true to its commitment to authenticity, Seoul Dak continues to serve traditional Korean recipes prepared using carefully selected ingredients. The menu is led by the brand's signature Korean Fried Chicken, available in flavours such as Volcano, Hot & Spicy, Ganjang, and K-BBQ. Diners can also enjoy popular Korean dishes including ramen, tteokbokki, and Korean corn dogs, along with K-Pop Coolers and classic bingsu desserts.

“Opening at Phoenix Marketcity marks an exciting new chapter for Seoul Dak. As Korean culture continues to resonate with Indian audiences, we wanted to create a destination that not only serves authentic Korean food but also offers a glimpse into the creativity, vibrancy, and warmth of contemporary Seoul. This outlet reflects our vision of bringing people together through food and culture,” says Sean Lee, Founder of Seoul Dak.

To celebrate the opening, Seoul Dak will host a grand launch event on July 10, featuring live entertainment, interactive games, a themed photobooth, and activities inspired by contemporary Korean culture, offering visitors an experience that goes beyond dining. The restaurant has been designed to appeal to both first-time diners and loyal fans of Korean cuisine, with a menu that encourages sharing and caters to diverse preferences. Beyond food, Seoul Dak seeks to create a cultural destination where design, music, and hospitality come together to showcase the lifestyle and flavours of modern Seoul.

With its first mall outlet now operational, Seoul Dak is preparing for the next phase of expansion. The brand plans to introduce new menu innovations, cultural collaborations, and experiential dining concepts as it continues to strengthen its presence in India's fast-growing Korean food segment.
