Restaurant India News: Papa John’s Opens Fifth Bangalore Outlet in Koramangala

Papa John’s Pizza has opened its fifth restaurant in Bengaluru with the launch of a new outlet in Koramangala, marking another step in its India expansion. The inauguration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Tom, a second-year MBBS student from St. John’s Medical College Hospital, who was also the first customer at the store.

The Koramangala outlet has been developed with support from the PJP Investments Group team, which handled the restaurant’s design and execution. The expansion is being backed by a centralized Quality Control Center located in Hennur, which prepares fresh dough daily to maintain consistency across all Papa John’s restaurants in the city.

To support the launch, the brand collaborated with actor and comedian Danish Sait on a campaign video aimed at introducing Papa John’s to Indian consumers with a localised approach.

Tapan Vaidya, Group CEO, PJP Investments Group, said, “This is a proud moment for us as we deliver the Papa Johns experience to Indian customers. Our pizzas are crafted with fresh, never-frozen dough, premium toppings, and a focus on consistent quality. We are confident that this approach, combined with an experience centred on customer satisfaction, will create strong appeal in India. Bengaluru is a fitting city to begin this journey, and we look forward to expanding rapidly across the country.”

Earlier in a release, Ravi Thanawala, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Papa Johns, added, India as one of the most dynamic foodservice markets in the world.

The Bengaluru menu features a region-specific Ghee Roast Pizza inspired by the South Indian ghee roast dish, along with the brand’s Special Garlic Sauce and a range of vegetarian and chicken options. All current outlets in the city offer dine-in and takeaway services, while online ordering through the app and website is operational. Delivery services are expected to be introduced in the next phase of the rollout.
