Restaurant India News: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre Adds New Director of Food and Beverage

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre have announced the appointment of Subin Venugopalan as Director of Food and Beverage, strengthening the leadership team across both properties as they continue to focus on large-scale events and convention-led hospitality.

Venugopalan brings over a decade of experience in luxury hospitality and complex food and beverage operations. Prior to joining Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and HICC, he was associated with Sheraton Grand Whitefield, Bengaluru, where he most recently served as Food and Beverage Manager. In that role, he oversaw multiple dining outlets, banqueting functions, and high-volume events, with responsibility for guest experience, operational efficiency, and revenue performance.

In his new position, Venugopalan will manage the full food and beverage portfolio across the two properties. His responsibilities include oversight of restaurants, bars, banqueting services, large-format conventions, and customised culinary experiences. The role also involves driving menu development, strengthening service standards, implementing sustainable operating practices, and supporting the properties’ positioning within India’s meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions segment.

Venugopalan is known for a people-focused management approach and experience in leading diverse teams in high-pressure operating environments. His background includes managing large MICE operations, supporting pre-opening projects, implementing brand standards, controlling costs, and developing experiential dining formats aligned with commercial goals.
