Namak Indian Restaurant and Bar in Dallas, Texas, has appointed Chef Gaurav Chauhan as its new Executive Chef, adding a hospitality professional with more than 10 years of experience across luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and large-scale food service operations in India and the United States.
Prior to joining Namak, Chef Chauhan was associated with Sanjh Restaurant in Dallas, where he managed menu development, kitchen operations, staff training, inventory control, food safety practices, and cost management. His experience spans both operational leadership and culinary development, with a focus on enhancing restaurant performance and guest dining experiences.
Over the course of his career, Chef Chauhan has worked with several hospitality brands, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Taj Hotels, Pullman Hotels and Resorts, Novotel, and The Park Hotels. His professional assignments have included roles at Andaz Delhi, Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, and The Park Kolkata.
Known for his expertise in Indian and Western cuisines, Chef Chauhan has been involved in multiple restaurant pre-opening projects in India and the United States. His responsibilities have included kitchen planning, menu engineering, equipment selection, workflow design, recruitment, staff training, and the implementation of food safety and operational systems.
At Namak Indian Restaurant and Bar, he will oversee kitchen operations, menu development, banquet execution, and culinary team management. The appointment comes as the restaurant continues to strengthen its culinary offerings in the competitive Dallas dining market.
Earlier in his career, Chef Chauhan worked on menu planning, recipe standardization, and kitchen leadership at The Park Hotels Kolkata. His tenure at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity and Andaz Delhi provided experience in luxury hotel culinary operations and multicuisine dining, while his foundation in professional kitchens was developed at Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi.
Chef Gaurav Chauhan said, “I am honored to join the team and excited to bring together authentic Indian flavors with modern culinary techniques. I look forward to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while mentoring the culinary team and contributing to the restaurant’s continued growth.”
The appointment reflects the continued focus among restaurant operators on strengthening culinary leadership through professionals with experience in both hospitality operations and restaurant concept development.
