Mumbai’s popular Japanese restaurant ‘Kofuku’ has been rebranded as Tokki Tora, marking a fresh new phase after more than a decade in the city. While the name and look have changed, the restaurant says its food, hospitality and overall dining experience remain the same.
Known for its authentic Japanese flavours and warm tatami-style setting, ‘Kofuku’ has long been a favourite among Mumbai diners. With Tokki Tora, the brand introduces a more playful identity that reflects its evolving connection with guests. A key part of the rebrand is a new rabbit mascot, designed to represent warmth, joy and friendly hospitality. To celebrate the launch, Tokki Tora plans surprise giveaways, interactive experiences, Instagram-friendly moments, collaborations and pop-ups in the coming weeks.
The menu continues to feature customer favourites such as Sushi, Ramen, Dim sums and Korean Hengbok dishes including Shin Noodle Soup, Vegetable Kimbap and Fried Korean Chicken.
“Kofuku has been a beautiful journey, one that I’ve cherished deeply for the memories, the people, and the joy it brought to so many. As we turn the page, I’m excited to introduce Tokki Tora, carrying forward that spirit in a new light. Our little rabbit mascot brings playfulness, warmth, and a story that connects with every guest who walks in. For me, this isn’t just a new name, it's an evolution of the love we’ve built together, now with even more character and energy.” shares Amit Goel, Stakeholder.
With outlets in Andheri, Lower Parel and Powai, Tokki Tora carries forward Kofuku’s culinary legacy while presenting a refreshed, contemporary take on Japanese and Korean dining in Mumbai.
