Restaurant India News: Marriott Partners with The Fern Hotels for 26-Hotel India Rollout

Marriott International has chosen India for the global launch of its new hotel collection, Series by Marriott, in a strategic partnership with The Fern Hotels and Resorts. The move underscores Marriott’s growing focus on India’s rapidly expanding domestic travel and hospitality market.

In its first phase, the brand will open 26 hotels across 23 cities, adding more than 1,900 rooms to Marriott’s India portfolio. The wide network highlights Marriott’s intent to strengthen its presence in both established and emerging destinations as part of its Asia Pacific (excluding China) growth strategy.

Developed in collaboration with Concept Hospitality, the parent company of The Fern Hotels and Resorts, Series by Marriott combines local operational expertise with Marriott’s global standards under a unified new brand.

These 26 openings mark the beginning of a broader rollout, with over 100 planned launches in the coming year.”

Designed for domestic and value-conscious travellers, Series by Marriott offers dependable stays with a touch of local character, backed by Marriott’s trusted service standards. All properties will be part of the Marriott Bonvoy programme, allowing guests to earn and redeem points across the global network.

The launch reinforces Marriott’s commitment to India as a key growth market. While The Fern Hotels and Resorts bring strong regional expertise and brand familiarity, Marriott adds global reach, advanced booking technology, and service consistency. With more than 100 Series by Marriott properties slated to open in the coming year, India remains central to the brand’s expansion plans—reflecting continued confidence in the country’s hospitality growth and the evolving needs of both leisure and business travellers.
