Restaurant India News: Lords Hotels Opens Two New Resorts in Karnataka’s Shivamogga

Lords Hotels and Resorts has expanded its presence in Karnataka with the launch of two new properties in Shivamogga district, located in Muduba and Sagara, signalling increased industry focus on non-metro leisure destinations.

The two resorts are positioned in the Western Ghats region and are designed to cater to demand for nature-led stays combined with standard hospitality infrastructure.

Lords Riverside Resort is spread across 18 acres along the Tunga river and offers both river view and forest view rooms. The property includes an in-house dining outlet, Kali Mirch, and provides access to nearby organic farms. The surrounding area supports local biodiversity, including species such as deer, hornbills, nilgai, and red squirrels.

Lords Sahyadri Resort is developed across 13 acres and is located within chikoo plantations near Jog Falls. The resort includes accommodation facilities, a swimming pool, a bar, and banquet spaces, targeting both leisure travellers and corporate groups.

Pushpendra Bansal, Chief Operating Officer, Lords Hotels and Resorts, said, “Our focus remains on developing destinations that offer a seamless blend of comfort, quality, and guest satisfaction, whether in bustling cities or emerging, unexplored leisure destinations. Shivamogga perfectly aligns with this vision, offering tranquil landscapes where guests can unwind and reconnect.”

The expansion reflects a broader shift within the hospitality sector toward investment in emerging destinations, as travel demand increasingly moves beyond metro cities to experiential and nature-driven locations.
