Restaurant India News: JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire Appoints Subhajit Chakraborty to Drive MICE Growth

JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa has appointed Subhajit Chakraborty as Director of Catering Sales, as part of its ongoing strategy to expand its presence in the luxury events, weddings, and MICE segments.

The appointment comes as the property continues to focus on increasing its share in high-value event-led business. In his new role, Subhajit Chakraborty will lead catering sales strategy, drive MICE business development, and strengthen the hotel’s positioning as a venue for corporate and social events.

Subhajit brings over 13 years of experience in hospitality, with expertise in MICE operations, large-scale event execution, revenue management, and resort sales. Prior to this role, he served as Director of Convention & Events at Hotel Yak & Yeti, where he was involved in repositioning the property and expanding its reach across Indian and Southeast Asian MICE markets, along with driving business from the Indian wedding segment. He also held a leadership role as Director of Catering Sales at JW Marriott Kolkata.

His previous experience includes working with hospitality brands such as The Leela Palace Bengaluru and JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa, where he managed large banquet operations, handled corporate accounts, and contributed to pre-opening and sales strategies for luxury properties.
