Restaurant India News: IHG Names Dattatraya P. Auti as GM of Holiday Inn Express Pune Pimpri

Holiday Inn Express, part of IHG Hotels and Resorts, has appointed Dattatraya P. Auti as the new General Manager of Holiday Inn Express Pune Pimpri. The move comes as IHG continues to strengthen leadership across key business destinations in India.

Dattatraya brings over 17 years of experience in the hospitality sector, with exposure across multiple Indian cities and hotel brands. His background spans hotel operations, guest experience management, and team leadership, areas critical to managing a high-occupancy business hotel in an industrial hub like Pimpri.

Before taking charge in Pune, he led operations at Holiday Inn Express Nashik and Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru Yeshwantpur. In both roles, he focused on operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Earlier in his career, he held senior management roles with Ginger Hotels, an IHCL brand, across Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, and Indore.

His work has been recognised within the industry. He received the Taj Award for Business Excellence for Best Housekeeping Department in the Budget Segment for 2014–2015 and was nominated for the BW Hotelier Awards 2022 in the Budget to Economy Hotel category.

Dattatraya is a graduate in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from NIBR College, Pune, and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Pune. His career reflects consistent involvement in hotel operations, financial oversight, and people management.

With this appointment, Holiday Inn Express Pune Pimpri is expected to maintain its focus on operational stability and service consistency for business and leisure travellers visiting Pune’s industrial and commercial corridor. The move also aligns with IHG’s “Room to Grow” philosophy, which supports internal career progression and leadership development within the organisation.
