Restaurant India News: Glenfiddich Launches New Visual Identity, India Rollout Begins in July 2026

Glenfiddich, the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, has introduced a new visual identity as part of its global brand evolution, with the redesigned packaging set to roll out in India from July 2026. The refresh combines contemporary design with elements drawn from the brand's archives spanning more than five generations, while retaining its 139-year heritage.

The updated design revisits several historic brand elements first introduced during the 1960s, when Glenfiddich played a significant role in establishing single malt Scotch whisky as an international category. The redesigned bottle features a refined version of the brand's iconic stag, originally inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer's 1851 painting, The Monarch of the Glen. The stag is now framed by the distillery's founding year, 1887, while the Glenfiddich wordmark has been updated with a modern sans-serif typeface influenced by British typography.

The packaging also incorporates an embossed version of the Grant Family Crest carrying the motto "Stand Fast," highlighting the brand's continued family ownership and long-standing commitment to craftsmanship. Glenfiddich stated that the redesign reflects its heritage in Speyside while maintaining its traditional whisky-making process, including the use of water from the Robbie Dhu spring.

Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master, said, "Innovation has always been part of Glenfiddich’s DNA. The distillery was founded by people who weren’t afraid to take risks, and that spirit still guides us today. It remains a driving force behind Glenfiddich’s status as the world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky. As Glenfiddich looks to the future with new cask finishes, maturation techniques and collaborations that challenge perceptions of single malt, the brand remains rooted in continuity, with deep respect for what has come before."

Kartik Mohindra, Managing Director, William Grant & Sons India, added, "Glenfiddich is the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky — and this new identity reflects everything that has made it so: pioneering spirit, unwavering craft, and a family legacy that has never once compromised on quality. India has always had a profound relationship with legacy and craftsmanship, and today’s discerning Indian consumer brings that same depth of appreciation to what they choose to pour. We are proud to debut this evolution in India — a market that doesn’t just consume luxury but truly understands it. This is Glenfiddich’s next chapter, and India is at the heart of it."

The redesigned identity will be introduced across India beginning July 2026 and forms part of Glenfiddich's broader global strategy, which also includes collaborations with Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Formula One Team. The company recently showcased the new brand identity on the Aston Martin Formula One™ 2026 car as part of its ongoing global partnership.
