Restaurant India News: Foo Expands in Bengaluru With the Launch of Its Second Restaurant at Orion Mall

Foo, one of India’s most popular Asian tapas brands from Pebble Street Hospitality, has expanded its presence in Bengaluru with the launch of its second outlet at Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway, Rajajinagar. The opening follows the strong response to its first restaurant on Brigade Road and marks an important step in the brand’s South India expansion plans, reaffirming Bengaluru as a key growth market.

Located in North-West Bengaluru, a hub known for its busy mall culture, diverse neighbourhoods and rising demand for quality dining, the new outlet helps Foo reach a wider audience while retaining its signature experience.

Spread across 3,320 sq. ft. with seating for 110 guests, the restaurant reflects Foo’s contemporary Asian design language. Visitors enter through a dramatic double-height space overlooking the water body. The outdoor section features a lakeside bar, a popular spot for photos, while a cherry blossom tree and high ceilings create an open, vibrant setting.

The new outlet brings Foo’s full menu of 100+ signature dishes, offering the same consistency and creativity that has made the brand a national favourite. Diners can enjoy bestselling sushi, dim sum, Nikkei-inspired plates, Peruvian ceviche, salads, small plates, mains and desserts. Popular dishes including Blue Butter Japanese Rice with Yellow Curry, Nikkei Avocado Uramaki, Foo Chilli Chicken, Truffle Lobster Dumplings and Mount Foo-ji remain highlights. The bar continues to be a major draw with favourites such as the Yuzu Negroni, Foo King, Florista, Miso Sour, Pickled Picante, Boba teas and a curated sake selection. Foo is also set to introduce Foo Brew, its Japanese rice beer, to Bengaluru soon, adding a new offering to the city’s expanding beverage scene.

Expressing their excitement on the new restaurant launch, Ryan Tham & Keenan Tham, Founders, Pebble Street Hospitality, said, “Bengaluru has embraced Foo with incredible warmth, and the city’s energy, global palate and enthusiasm for experiential dining made it the natural choice for our next chapter. With our second restaurant at Orion Mall, Rajajinagar, we’re introducing a more refined Foo, the way Bengaluru loves to dine: social, vibrant, exploratory and always evolving. This market is integral to our long-term vision, and we’re committed to building neighbourhood destinations across the city that stay true to Foo’s signature quality, creativity and accessible dining philosophy.”

Commenting on the new restaurant, Sunil Munshi, COO, Retail, Brigade Group, said, “At Orion Mall, our singular focus has always been to craft a dynamic and enriching experience for our patrons, one that goes far beyond shopping. We believe a truly world-class mall must seamlessly integrate best-in-class retail, diverse culinary offerings and immersive entertainment under one roof. Every brand we welcome is carefully selected to reflect the evolving tastes and aspirations of our visitors. The arrival of Foo Asian Tapas adds a bold and flavour-filled dimension to our F&B portfolio, and we are confident that this will be yet another reason for our patrons to explore, indulge and revisit.”

With this launch, Foo strengthens its reputation as one of the country’s fastest-scaling homegrown restaurant brands. The brand’s steady expansion in Bengaluru signals a strong commitment to South India, backed by a growing community of diners who appreciate bold Asian flavours paired with accessible luxury.
