Dhaba Estd. 1986, New Delhi has reopened its Nehru Place Epicuria outlet with a renewed identity, marking the start of a new era for the nearly 40-year-old brand. The relaunch pays tribute to its legacy while presenting a more polished, premium interpretation of its classic highway-inspired theme.
With a seating capacity of 62, the revamped outlet targets a cosmopolitan audience seeking both authenticity and refinement. The refreshed identity signals the brand’s move into a more elevated dining space as it prepares for its 40th anniversary next year.
The menu continues to feature Dhaba’s signature dishes, including Balti Meat, Highway Chicken Tikka, Amritsari Fish, Bhatinda Chicken Curry, Kanastari Baigan Bharta, Dal Dhaba and Dhabe ki Roti. These classics are now prepared with enhanced techniques to offer deeper flavours while maintaining their original character. The brand will also introduce a new Luxe Menu in the coming weeks, featuring premium dishes and elevated presentations tailored for the Nehru Place crowd.
The relaunch also features a new beverage program called “Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman,” inspired by the journey of the traditional Dhaba traveller evolving into a modern, confident diner. The drinks menu combines nostalgic elements like banta bottles and shikanji with contemporary cocktails crafted using modern techniques, creating a bridge between old-world charm and today’s preferences.
Rahul Khanna, Founder, Dhaba Estd. 1986 shares, “Dhaba Estd. 1986, New Delhi has always celebrated the raw, rustic magic of India’s highways. As we approach 40 years, it felt like the right moment to evolve with the India we see around us: modern, ambitious and deeply connected to its roots. The Nehru Place relaunch is our tribute to this journey, capturing the nostalgia people love while elevating the experience in a way that feels relevant and exciting today.”
Ankur Khanna, Franchise Partner, Dhaba Estd. 1986 adds, “Our aim with the Nehru Place outlet was to preserve everything people cherish about Dhaba Estd. 1986, New Delhi, while presenting it through a more refined lens. This re-launch is about giving guests the same warmth and comfort, but in a more polished, premium and thoughtfully designed setting, Dhaba Estd. 1986, New Delhi as they know it, simply elevated for a new generation.”
With its re-launch at Epicuria, Dhaba Estd. 1986, New Delhi steps confidently into a new chapter, one that honours four decades of legacy while embracing the sophistication, creativity and cultural evolution of modern India.
