Restaurant India News: Devyani International Appoints Neeraj Tiwari as its Maiden CTO

Devyani International has appointed its first-ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO), marking a key step in strengthening the company’s digital and technology capabilities.

The company announced that Neeraj Tiwari has taken charge of the role with effect from February 4, 2025. Tiwari was previously the Head of Digital Technology at Kuwait Food Company (Americana), where he led large-scale digital and consumer technology initiatives.

As the maiden CTO of Devyani International, Tiwari will be responsible for building the company’s overall technology foundation. His mandate includes driving the adoption of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and strengthening customer-facing digital platforms across the group’s brands. The appointment reflects Devyani International’s focus on using technology to improve operational efficiency, customer engagement, and long-term scalability.

The company said, “Neeraj Tiwari has been appointed as the CTO (Senior Management Personnel) with effect from February 4, 2026. Neeraj brings nearly 19 years of experience building digital businesses for enterprises across consumer sectors. He led the Digital Technology function at Americana Group – one of the largest restaurant operators out of GCC. Prior to his role at Americana, he was associated with Zee Entertainment and Jubilant Foodworks.”

Speaking on this, Neeraj Tiwari said, “I will be responsible for laying the foundation of the technology ecosystem at Devyani International,” For all of the group’s major franchisees at the group level like KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, Tealive, Sanook kitchen, Newyork Frics, Goila, Vaango, Biryani by Kilo and the Food Street.
