
Brigade Hospitality has relaunched its bakery brand, The Baking Company, with an updated concept aimed at urban consumers, signalling a renewed focus on the premium bakery segment within India’s hospitality industry.
The brand is currently operational at two locations, including the World Trade Center in Bengaluru and The Woodrose in JP Nagar. As part of its expansion strategy, a third outlet is scheduled to open in late April at Brigade Tech Gardens, Whitefield. The company has also outlined plans to launch three additional outlets within the year, indicating an aggressive scale-up across Bengaluru’s commercial and residential hubs.
The rollout is supported by a central kitchen model, allowing the brand to standardise production, maintain consistency, and manage supply across multiple outlets. This approach aligns with broader industry trends where bakery and café formats are increasingly adopting centralised operations to optimise costs and quality control.

The menu features a wide range of bite-sized offerings, including savouries, desserts, and beverages such as sandwiches, sliders, doughnuts, macarons, tartlets, and gourmet cakes. There is also a growing focus on healthier options, incorporating fresh ingredients and select superfoods to suit evolving consumer preferences.”
The brand is also leveraging a hub-and-spoke distribution model to streamline operations and ensure food safety standards across locations. By integrating centralised production with last-mile outlet delivery, the company aims to improve operational efficiency while maintaining product consistency.
The relaunch reflects a growing demand for premium bakery formats that combine convenience with quality. Operators are increasingly targeting high-footfall commercial zones and lifestyle destinations to capture urban consumers seeking quick-service yet premium food options.
