Marico brings vegan gourmet products range under 'Coco Soul'

Marico Limited, one of India’s leading FMCG majors, has introduced a range of vegan gourmet products under the brand name 'Coco Soul'.

The vegan gourmet products range comprises of 100% organic virgin coconut oil, 100% natural virgin coconut oil and 100% natural infused variants of cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, and Coco Soul Foods including coconut spreads, coconut chips and 100% organic coconut sugar.

While coconut spreads offer original, sea salt and cacao flavours, the peanut coconut and almond coconut butters provide crunchy and creamy variants. The Coco Soul coconut chips are available in four flavours, including Thai chilli lime, caramel, original and chocolate.

The organic variants mark Marico's first entry into the organic products space.

Kolkata-based cloud-kitchen brand edabba has partnered with Saffola Oats to curate a menu of traditional dishes made with oats.

The OatSoGood menu made with Saffola Oats is listed on Edabba’s Zomato and Swiggy accounts, where in foodies can easily place their orders and relish the delicious Saffola Oats dishes at home.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Saffola Oats, a pioneer in the healthy food segment. The eating habits of consumers are changing; they expect their nutritional needs to be met in every fresh meal even if they have access to home cooked meals. With this collaboration we seek to foster a balance between healthy and delicious food which our customers can have guilt free,” shared Vedant Pasari Founder – Edabba.

Saffola Oats, made from 100% natural rolled oats, has soft grains that blend seamlessly into almost every recipe, sprucing up your regular dishes and giving you a wholesome meal.

The menu is a curation of 5 handpicked recipes from the Northern and Eastern parts of India, while staying true to the unique style of edabba’s dishes.

Regarding the collaboration, a Marico Limited spokesperson added, “At Saffola Oats we are constantly trying new and innovative ways to help consumers include oats as part of their diet. Our Collaboration with Edabba to curate this unique menu that will offer customers their favorite traditional dishes with a twist of oats.”

Marico Limited, one of India’s leading FMCG companies, has unveiled a range of super beverages, including Superfood Moringa Green Tea and Green Coffee Instant Beverage Mix, as a part of its Saffola Fittify Gourmet range. The move is in line with the company’s endeavour to build an authentic healthy gourmet portfolio.

The newly launched range has been carefully crafted by nutritionists and curated by chef Kunal Kapur for combining the best of taste and health for a slimmer and fitter life.

While the Superfood Moringa Green Tea brings the antioxidant benefits of green tea with the superfood moringa together, the Green coffee is on par with green tea and considered as the next big health elixir.

The new range is available at modern trade outlets like Godrej Nature’s Basket, Foodhall and Star Bazaar, across the top metros, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. It is also available on e-commerce portals like Amazon, Flipkart and Big Basket.

Superfood Moringa Green Tea is priced at Rs 220 for a 37.5g pack, while Green Coffee Instant Beverage Mix is available at Rs 260 for a 30g pack.

Leading FMCG player Marico is planning to strengthen its premium product portfolio by entering into the organic food space.

Marico is launching a new brand called ‘Coco Soul’ which will have a vast product range of organic, cold-pressed virgin coconut edible oils and a range of healthy coconut-based food products.

“We believe this is the right time for us to enter this category, given the enthusiasm the discerning consumers are showing for organic, cold-pressed virgin coconut oils,” shared Sanjay Mishra, Chief Operating Officer- India Sales & Business Head-Bangladesh, Marcio Ltd  that is planning to leverage on the strength of their sales and distribution network to make this category even bigger.

The Coco Soul infusions range includes three variants — Chilli Oregano, Curry Coriander and Cinnamon.

“Besides launching the core product variants, we have also collaborated with chef Kunal Kapoor to launch a curated range of Coco Soul infusions, so that consumers can easily use them as kitchen essentials for salad dressings, cooking or baking,” added Mishra.

The company also wants to solidify its presence in the healthy foods and snacks segment with the launch of coconut spread, coconut chips and coconut sugar.

Coco Soul will initially be made available at the modern trade stores and e-commerce channels.

“We will initially focus on a few key markets such as the southern region besides the top metros for the new brand. Based on consumers’ response, we will gradually expand the presence of this brand to other markets and general trade stores,” he further added.
