
KFC India has appointed Yash Kumar as Director – Strategy, following more than a decade with the quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain. Kumar’s new role brings together his experience across business planning, market strategy, growth planning and analytics.
During his tenure at KFC, Kumar has held several positions, starting as Management Trainee and subsequently moving through roles including Deputy Manager – Business Planning, Manager – Business Planning, Senior Manager – Market & Growth Planning, Head – Market & Growth Planning, Head – Market Planning & Development Analytics, and Regional Market Planning Lead – US, Canada & Latin America.
In his new position, Kumar will focus on strategy, business planning, market development, growth planning and analytics. His experience at KFC has covered India as well as international markets including the US, Canada and Latin America. Before joining KFC, Kumar worked as Marketing Manager at Aster Technologies.
The appointment comes as Kumar moves into a strategy leadership position after holding roles across planning and analytics within KFC. His experience across different markets and business functions will form part of his responsibilities in the new role.
