Coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines has secured an equity investment of Rs 50 crore from Sedna HoReCa (Sedna), a private equity-backed B2B HoReCa solutions provider. Alongside the investment, both companies have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at expanding hospitality-focused coffee solutions in India.
The investment will be used to broaden Kaapi Machines' product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, and enhance its technology infrastructure, warehousing network and after-sales service operations. The company also plans to evaluate opportunities in adjacent product categories for its existing customer base by leveraging Sedna's capabilities.
Led by Abhinav Mathur, Kaapi Machines caters to businesses across the coffee value chain, serving café chains, quick service restaurants (QSRs), specialty coffee roasters, hotels, retailers, corporate offices and coffee vending businesses throughout India.
The partnership comes as coffee consumption continues to grow in the country, increasing demand for professional coffee equipment and support services across the hospitality sector. Kaapi Machines offers a range of products including automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines, commercial blenders, coffee roasters and grinders. It is also the official distributor for international brands such as La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Rancilio and Probat.
In addition to equipment, the company provides barista training, latte art courses, café consulting, technical maintenance and repair services, while also operating the Something's Brewing e-commerce platform for home coffee enthusiasts.
