Juniper Hotels Clarifies FSSAI Reports Linked to Andaz Delhi

Juniper Hotels Ltd. has clarified that recent reports about Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) action at its Andaz Delhi hotel in Aerocity did not relate to the property, stating that the reports had incorrectly linked observations from another Delhi hotel to its asset.

In an exchange filing dated August 28, the company said no such incident as described in a news report published on August 26, 2026, had been reported or communicated by FSSAI in relation to Andaz Delhi.

"We respectfully clarify that no such event, as mentioned in the news article dated August 26, 2026, was reported or communicated by the FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) in relation to the Company's hotel Andaz Delhi, located in Aerocity," Juniper Hotels said in the filing.

The company acknowledged that FSSAI had conducted a food safety inspection at the property on June 22, 2026, during which certain observations were made. Juniper Hotels said it cooperated with the inspection, provided the requested information and implemented the required suggestions and improvements.

"In compliance to the routine inspection and observations made by the FSSAI authority during a food safety inspection carried out at the property on June 22, 2026, the Company fully co-operated with the inspection, furnished all information and has incorporated the required suggestion and improvement(s) and have duly submitted a detailed Action Taken Report to the said authority," the company said.

Juniper Hotels added that such inspections are routine and do not qualify as a reportable event under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

The company also rejected reports concerning deficiencies related to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, storage and labelling, stating that these observations had no connection with Andaz Delhi. According to Juniper Hotels, the matter was incorrectly attributed to its hotel and had instead been associated with another property operated by a different company in Delhi.

"Juniper Hotels further clarifies that the health, safety and hygiene of our guests has and will always remain, our highest priority," the company said. "The Company further clarifies and reaffirms that there has been no such information which was required to be announced to the Stock Exchanges under regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015."

Juniper Hotels operates hospitality assets across business and leisure markets in India. Its portfolio currently includes seven operational assets and five assets under construction.
