ROST Opens French Toast & Coffee Bar in Bandra

ROST, a new all-day café opens in Bandra, focused on French toast and coffee. Founded by Param Arora and Abhishek Chaurasia, the café puts handcrafted brioche at the centre of its menu. Designed by Studio arQ, the 450 sq. ft. café combines minimal interiors with retro-inspired elements and seats around 20–23 guests.

Developed with MasterChef India finalist and Development Chef Karishma Sakhrani, the menu gives French toast a contemporary twist with sweet and savoury options inspired by global flavours.

"French toast is something almost everyone recognises and has a personal memory associated with, but we felt its potential had never really been explored beyond breakfast. With ROST, we wanted to create a focused concept that could take something familiar and present it in a way that feels fresh, exciting and relevant throughout the day. Our vision was to build a café with a clear identity, where the food is creative, but the experience always remains warm and approachable," share Founders Param Arora and Abhishek Chaurasia.

Signature dishes include Bandra Benedict, Butter Chicken French Toast, Tokyo Bay, Truffle Royale, The ROST Stack and Bombay Cutting Chai French Toast. The menu also features brioche sandwiches, Espuma Fries, Açai Bowls, specialty coffee, matcha and seasonal drinks.

"For me, the most exciting part of developing the menu was discovering just how much range brioche could offer. It can be indulgent or light, sweet or savoury, nostalgic or completely unexpected. We wanted every dish to retain the comfort people associate with French toast while introducing new flavours, textures and culinary techniques. The intention was never to complicate the dish, but to show just how versatile and expressive it can be," says Chef Karishma Sakhrani.

By combining culinary creativity with genuine hospitality, the café transforms a universally loved comfort food into an all-day offering, inviting guests to experience the familiar in unexpected and memorable ways.
