India’s First Octagonal Bar Naked & Famous Opens in Bengaluru

Cocktail culture in India has reached a level of confidence, but it has also settled into patterns. Most guests walk into a bar knowing exactly what they want: a Margarita ordered just so, a Negroni that tastes exactly like the last one.

Naked & Famous was created to gently nudge guests sideways, not forward, offering a new way to approach familiar drink styles without asking anyone to abandon what they already love.

Named after the modern classic cocktail built on equal measures of ingredients, where nothing is hidden or overworked, Naked & Famous takes a clear position: drinks should be understood by how they are made, not by trends or categories.

The bar is built around four expressions of drinking — Built, Stirred, Shaken, and Neat, allowing guests to explore technique as the defining language of flavour.

Behind Naked & Famous are two complementary visions. Karthik Kumar, Co-Founder & Beverage Director brings deep industry knowledge and a long-held belief in a bar where the setup itself is the star. Priyesh Busetty, Co-Founder, well-travelled and food-focused, grounds the experience in how people actually eat, drink, and return. His journey into the F&B world started in 2017 with Brooks & Bonds after which he launched five outlets of Yuki, his food-focused venture.

“Guests are free to ask questions, explore the menu, or return to what they already love. And, most importantly, classics are never discouraged; they are only respected,” said Kumar.

At the centre of Naked & Famous sits India’s first octagonal bar, designed as a working structure rather than a visual gimmick. The eight-sided counter is divided into four distinct stations, each organised by technique instead of spirit. Two seats sit between every station, placing guests alongside the bartender rather than across a divide.

The menu blends global flavors with a modern touch. From Truffle & Cheese Popcorn to Crab and Lychee Wonton Cups, each dish is thoughtfully created to offer something new. Choose comforting classics like Mushroom Risotto or go bold with Ground Chicken Mapo Tofu for a spicy kick. End on a sweet note with the Chocolate Mandarin Orange Cake. This is a menu made to be enjoyed and shared.

The octagonal bar is the hero of the room. Priyesh Busetty, Co-Founder, shared, “The interiors echo the same clarity as the drinks, muted tones, deep blues, and a calm, considered palette that allows the bar to lead. Subtle details reveal themselves slowly: an offbeat chandelier, rustic textures, and a quiet, subtle cat theme (reflecting our love for cats) that adds warmth and character.”

As the night winds down, Naked & Famous makes sure no one leaves too hungry or too boozy. Every guest is offered a small takeaway cup of chicken or mushroom soup, a simple closing gesture that brings the evening gently to a close.
