House of Arts Combines Café Dining, Live Entertainment and Art Activities in Delhi's Hudson Lane

House of Arts, a café and entertainment venue in Delhi's Hudson Lane, North Campus, is combining restaurant operations with live performances and interactive art activities. Founded by Navdeesh Mahajan, the venue follows a hybrid hospitality format that brings food, cultural programming and participatory experiences together under one roof.

The concept caters to customers looking beyond conventional café dining, particularly students, young professionals and groups seeking entertainment alongside food. Its weekly programming includes stand-up comedy, live music, poetry, theatre, improv, ghazals, open mics and Bollywood jamming sessions.

Food remains a central part of the business, with a menu covering small plates, burgers, pizzas, pastas, Asian-inspired preparations and desserts. The selection includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, combining familiar café dishes with premium ingredients and different flavour profiles.

Some of its signature offerings include the Truffle Burger, made with a vegetarian patty, and the Smashed Chicken Chipotle Burger. The Kentucky Paneer Melt Burger features crispy paneer and melted cheese. Its pizza menu includes Pesto Burrata Pizza, Wild Mushroom and Truffle Pizza, Smoked BBQ Chicken Pizza and Peri-Peri Cottage Cheese Pizza.

The pasta selection features Creamy Alfredo with mushroom and thyme, Basil Pesto with artichoke and sundried tomatoes, and Pasta Alla Rosa. Small plates include Smoked Cheese Arancini, Truffle and Parmesan Fries and a Grand Mediterranean Mezze Board comprising hummus, tzatziki, muhammara, pesto paneer, pita and house salad.

Dessert options include Cinnamon Tres Leches Cake, Kunafa Cream Cake Tub and Date and Ragi Chocolate Torte, extending the menu beyond conventional café desserts.

Navdeesh Mahajan, Founder, House of Arts, said, “The idea behind House of Arts was to create a space where people could come together over food, discover new forms of entertainment and experience creativity in an accessible, informal way. We believe a café can be much more than a place to eat; it can become a destination where every visit offers something new. Whether guests are trying our signature Truffle Burger, enjoying a Pesto Burrata Pizza, attending a live performance or participating in one of our creative activities, we want them to feel connected to the experience. Our focus is on building a space that brings people together, encourages emerging talent and makes art and culture a natural part of everyday life. We also want House of Arts to grow into a community where people can connect over shared passions, build relationships and feel encouraged to express themselves creatively.”

In addition to dining and performances, the venue offers an interactive Art Menu with activities such as canvas painting, perfume-making, poetry and joke writing. These experiences are priced at INR 99 and INR 199, providing customers with additional activities during their visits.

The combination of food, entertainment and paid creative activities gives House of Arts multiple customer engagement formats beyond regular restaurant service. Its operating model also creates opportunities to attract repeat visits through changing performance schedules and interactive experiences.

With this format, House of Arts is positioning itself within North Delhi's evolving café market, where food-led outlets are increasingly incorporating entertainment and experiential activities to differentiate their offerings.
