RI EXCLUSIVE: Flurys Brings its Iconic Tea Room Legacy to Gurugram

Flurys, the legendary cafe and bakery chain from the house of Apeejay Surrendra Group has expanded its North India footprint by launching its first standalone outlet in Gurugram.

Located at the Galleria Market, the opening marks the start of the brand's regional expansion, with more Tea Rooms and cafés planned across Delhi and other northern cities.

Founded in 1927 in Kolkata's Park Street by Swiss founders Joseph and Frieda Flury, Flurys is known for its Swiss-inspired patisserie, tea-room culture and European café experience. As it approaches its centenary in 2027, the brand continues to balance tradition with modern tastes.

"As Flurys approaches its centenary, we are entering a defining chapter in the brand's journey. North India has long been a target market for us, and Gurugram marks a significant milestone in our expansion plans," added Vijay Dewan, Managing Director, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd.

The new café serves Flurys signature favourites, including the Rum Ball, Chicken Patty, Chocolate Boat, Buttercream Cubes, fresh cream pastries and French classics such as the Millefeuille, Opera and Paris-Brest. It also features the Nolen Gur Crème Brûlée in a Bhanr, blending French dessert traditions with Bengal's date palm jaggery.

The beverage menu includes espresso coffees, the signature Viennese Coffee, handcrafted teas, cold brews, frappes and the Chilled Coffee Sprüngli, inspired by Flurys' Swiss roots.

“Every Flurys café is designed to feel familiar from the very first visit. Whether someone comes in for a morning coffee, their favourite Rum Ball, a celebration cake or a late-night bite, we want the experience to be warm, welcoming and unmistakably Flurys," commented Rohit Kakra, COO, Flurys on the Gurugram launch.

Open 24 hours, the 16-seater café combines warm interiors with archival photographs celebrating the brand's Park Street heritage, offering guests the classic Flurys experience from morning to late night.
