Cafe Srinivasa to Open Second Mumbai Outlet in Vile Parle

Cafe Srinivasa is set to open its second outlet in Mumbai’s Vile Parle, following the launch of its first café in Tardeo in 2024. The vegetarian South Indian café will continue its focus on Karnataka-style breakfast and everyday dining at the new location.

The Vile Parle outlet will carry forward the menu served at Tardeo, including benne masala dosa, idli with sambar and coconut chutney, medu vada and traditionally brewed filter coffee served in a steel tumbler and davara.

The menu also includes uttapams and Karnataka-inspired dishes such as Paneer Ghee Roast with neer dosa, Malabar Paneer, Appam Stew, Bisi Bele Bath and biryanis.

Cafe Srinivasa was founded by Naman Jain, who drew inspiration from his experiences at Bengaluru’s established eateries and the city’s everyday breakfast culture. The brand’s approach centres on vegetarian Karnataka cuisine and traditional preparation methods, including fermented dosa batter, freshly prepared chutneys and filter coffee.

“We’re excited about the Vile Parle outlet. It’s a neighbourhood with a real appetite for genuine South Indian food, and we wanted to bring that experience closer to more people across the city. This outlet has its own space and its own energy, and we can’t wait to welcome guests and make it their new regular breakfast spot,” shares Naman Jain, Founder, Cafe Srinivasa.

The Vile Parle café will have a capacity of approximately 30 guests. The outlet has been designed by Jay Shah with a contemporary interpretation of South Indian visual elements, while maintaining the café’s existing no-frills approach.

The expansion gives Cafe Srinivasa a presence in a second Mumbai neighbourhood while retaining the menu and Karnataka-focused positioning established at its Tardeo outlet.
