The Adie Broswon Group has expanded its spirits portfolio with the launch of Kingpin Whisky, entering the North Indian market with a new whisky brand across Delhi, Punjab and Chandigarh.
The launch adds another consumer-facing brand to the Group’s alcoholic beverages portfolio as it looks to build its presence in the IMFL whisky segment. Kingpin has been positioned around a combination of product character, contemporary branding and accessible pricing.
The whisky is made using a blend of malts and Indian grain spirits. According to the company, the liquid undergoes maturation and filtration to develop its final profile.
Kingpin has pronounced smoky notes with hints of tobacco and honey, followed by a lingering finish. The brand is being introduced with the positioning “Live Bold. Drink Bold.” and a royal blue and gold visual identity featuring a crown-inspired insignia.
The launch comes as India’s beverage alcohol market continues to record volume growth. According to IWSR’s latest data cited by the company, India recorded 4% beverage alcohol volume growth in 2025, while Indian whisky volumes also grew 4% during the year.
Kingpin is being launched across seven pack sizes: 1,000 ml, 750 ml, 500 ml, 375 ml, 180 ml, 90 ml and 60 ml. The range allows the brand to address different consumption occasions and price points across its three launch markets. The 750 ml bottle is priced at Rs 500 in Delhi, Rs 530 in Chandigarh and Rs 750 in Punjab.
The Group is using the launch to expand its own brand portfolio alongside its existing brewing and distillation operations. The strategy places Kingpin within a competitive IMFL whisky market where brands are increasingly using product positioning, packaging and varied pack sizes to address different consumer segments.
With its initial rollout across Delhi, Punjab and Chandigarh, Kingpin marks the Adie Broswon Group’s latest move to build its presence in the spirits category through a consumer-facing whisky brand.
