Wyndham Expands Midscale Hotel Presence in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is expanding its midscale hotel presence in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala to meet the growing demand for branded accommodation beyond major cities. Through its Ramada Encore by Wyndham brand and partnerships with local owners, the company is targeting travellers visiting religious destinations as well as regional business and leisure hubs.

India recorded more than 4.3 billion domestic tourist visits in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism, while Ayodhya alone welcomed over 200 million visitors. The rising number of travellers visiting destinations such as Ayodhya and Vrindavan is creating opportunities for hotels in Uttar Pradesh. In Kerala, Kochi attracts both business and leisure travellers due to its strong air connectivity and commercial activity.

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya Takpura is located on National Highway 27, around four kilometres from the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the 72-room hotel caters to pilgrims, families and business travellers. It also offers space for weddings, social functions and corporate events. Ramada Encore by Wyndham Vrindavan Rukmani Vihar is situated close to Vrindavan’s major temples, the 45-room property marks the Ramada Encore brand’s entry into the city. The hotel offers modern rooms, a swimming pool, an all-day dining restaurant and banquet facilities for pilgrims, families and leisure travellers.

While Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kochi Kalamassery is located on the Kochi Panvel Highway, the 57-room hotel offers easy access to InfoPark, Cochin International Airport and key commercial areas. Its facilities include two restaurants, a 24-hour café, a spa, sauna, steam room, gym and event spaces, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

Commenting on this, Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts said, “India’s next phase of hospitality growth will be shaped by destinations where travel demand is becoming more frequent, diverse and year-round. Ramada Encore gives us the flexibility to respond to that demand with a contemporary midscale offering that can adapt to the needs of each market. Our role is to pair the right brand with the right opportunity and give owners the distribution, technology, loyalty and operational support of the Wyndham Advantage to build resilient hotel businesses.”

“Kochi is rapidly evolving into one of South India's most dynamic hospitality markets and is often described as two cities in one, a business hub through the week and a leisure destination through the weekend. With Wyndham, we set out to build a hotel that meets both with equal intent, drawing on their franchise model and distribution strength to serve business and leisure travellers as a single, connected market rather than two separate ones. We believe this is what will distinguish the hotel in Kochi's evolving hospitality landscape,” added P. P. Fasalu, Director, Hyson Hospitalities Private Limited.
