
Walko Food Company, one of India’s fastest-growing premium ice cream and dessert brands, has acquired Meemee’s Ice Creams.
They have announced the strategic acquisition of Meemee’s, marking its official entry into India’s fast-growing artisanal dessert market. This move further bolsters Walko’s portfolio of innovative, handcrafted offerings and strengthens its position in the premium dessert space.
Founded in Mumbai, Meemee’s has gained a strong following—particularly among young, urban consumers—with its quirky and high-quality creations like Toasties, Ice Cream Cakes, Roley’s, and Tubsters. The brand is celebrated for its playful personality, bold flavors, and experimental formats that bring a fresh perspective to indulgence.
Through this acquisition, Walko aims to expand its presence in urban markets and accelerate growth in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels in the initial phase of integration.
Established in 2012 by Jeetendra Bhandari, Sanjiv Shah, and Raj Bhandari, Walko Food Company has built a diverse portfolio of beloved brands including NIC, GrameenKulfi, Café Chokolade, Mimo, and Cream Pot, offering everything from premium ice creams and kulfis to frozen desserts and thick shakes. The addition of Meemee’s is expected to fuel Walko’s momentum in crafting unique dessert experiences for India’s next-gen consumers.
