UBL has commissioned a new canning line at its Ellora Brewery in Waluj MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 110 crore. The facility is expected to start operations in September 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

The new facility will be the brewery's first canning line and will have a production capacity of 40,000 cans per hour. The addition will complement its existing bottling operations and give UBL greater flexibility to meet changing consumer preferences, particularly the rising demand for canned beer.

The investment is also expected to improve capacity utilisation and operational efficiency at the brewery. Ellora Brewery currently has packaging capacity of up to 1.5 million cases per month, allowing UBL to adjust its packaging mix according to market demand while strengthening its presence in Maharashtra's beer market.
