Till now, the food delivery major has invested Rs 175 crore over a period of two years to open more than 1,000 cloud kitchens across 14 cities for its restaurant partners through its ‘Swiggy Access’ initiative.
Dunzo and Swiggy’s partnership with wholesalers will help them in keeping a track of the stores’ inventory, which was not possible in the case of Kirana stores partnerships.
Swiggy Go will be used to pick up and drop off laundry, get forgotten keys, send lunch boxes from home to office or even deliver documents or parcels to clients.
Under this partnership, Swiggy’s delivery personnel uses Bounce’s ride-hailing service to pick up and drop customers when food delivery orders are low.
In order to deliver food in 10 minutes, Swiggy will collaborate with caterers, food and beverages outlets and independent operators to set up assembly kitchens at short distances.
Unlike dunzo that moves many things including food and groceries from one point to another, Swiggy Go will solely be focusing on moving parcels such as documents and perform several other errands.
