Sanatanam Opens in Rajouri Garden, Celebrating Tradition Through Vegetarian Cuisine

Sanatanam, a new vegetarian restaurant has opened its door in Rajouri Garden at West Delhi. Based on the philosophy of “Anna Brahma” which regards food as divine, the restaurant aims to bring together traditional food, culture and hospitality.

Inspired by the lotus and the arrow, symbols of purity and direction, the interiors feature natural materials, subtle traditional patterns and soft lighting. A live kitchen allows guests to watch the food being prepared. Sanatanam is designed for different dining occasions, from breakfast and informal meetings to family meals, evening snacks and dinner.

The menu focuses on Bengaluru-style South Indian cuisine, featuring Ghee Saagu Dosa, Ghee Thatte Idli, Bisi Bele Bath, Ghee Jaggery Pongal and Appam with Jaggery Paal. It also includes chaats such as Masala Puri and Mango Pani Puri, North Indian dishes like Paneer Butter Masala and Dal Tadka, and Chinese favourites including Chilli Basil Paneer, Hakka Noodles and Schezwan Rice. The restaurant says its dishes are prepared without artificial enhancements or unnecessary additives.

“Sanatanam was born from a belief that has guided Indian households for generations: food is divine,” said Girish Goel, Founder, Sanatanam. “Every dish is prepared with pure desi ghee and ingredients we would proudly serve in our own homes. We are deeply honoured that the Hon’ble Chief Minister joined us to bless this beginning. We hope Sanatanam becomes a place where Delhi can slow down and rediscover the joy of food made with intention.”
