
Shangri-La Bengaluru has appointed Rakesh Ramachandran as its Director of Events.
Rejoining the Shangri-La family, Rakesh brings over two decades of extensive hospitality experience, with strong expertise in events, catering, group business and food and beverage operations.
His strategic approach, operational insight, and passion for delivering exceptional experiences make him a valuable addition to the hotel’s leadership team.
Rakesh began his career in Food & Beverage Service, building a strong foundation in hospitality operations and event execution.
Over the years, he has held key leadership roles across distinguished hospitality brands, including The Leela Palace Bengaluru, Sheraton Bangalore, Conrad Pune, the pre-opening of Shangri-La Bengaluru, and Shangri-La Colombo, where he successfully led large-scale events, conventions, and high-impact catering operations.
Most recently, prior to rejoining Shangri-La Bengaluru, Rakesh was associated with Foodlink F&B Holdings as Director of Sales, further strengthening his expertise in sales strategy and client partnerships.
In his role as Director of Events, Rakesh will focus on further enhancing the hotel’s events and conventions portfolio. With his comprehensive understanding of the events landscape and a strong focus on innovation and service excellence, he aims to further elevate the hotel’s offerings and guest experiences.
