Seoul Dak, India’s first Korean quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand inspired by Seoul’s street food culture, has expanded in Pune with the launch of a new outlet in Wakad, following the success of its Viman Nagar location.
The new Wakad outlet follows Seoul Dak’s street-inspired design, featuring bold signage and graphic elements drawn from Seoul’s food streets. The space is designed to be vibrant and welcoming, keeping the focus on a casual, food-first experienceTo celebrate the opening, the brand has announced ‘Dak Day (D-Day)’, a limited-period, store-exclusive offer. On 17 January, customers can try ‘Dak Dak’, Seoul Dak’s two-piece Korean fried chicken, at a special price of ₹59 between 12 pm and 3 pm.
Located at Wbiz, Bhumkar Chowk Road, Wakad, the new outlet brings Seoul Dak’s popular Korean fried chicken and street-style favourites to another prominent neighbourhood in the city. Both the Dak Dak offering and the launch promotion are exclusive to the Wakad outlet. Customers can choose from a range of Seoul-style sauces including Ganjang (soy garlic), Sweet & Spicy, Hot & Spicy, Korean BBQ and Volcano, or opt for the chicken without sauce to enjoy the brand’s signature Korean seasoning.
“Wakad is an important addition to our Pune journey,” said Sean Lee, Founder, Seoul Dak. “The offer allows us to connect with more people who are curious about Korean food and open to trying new flavours. Dak Day is our way of inviting them to experience Korean Fried Chicken in its simplest form - focused on flavour and authenticity.”
Seoul Dak’s Korean fried chicken, known for its light, crispy coating and balanced flavours, has gained popularity among customers looking for authentic Asian tastes. Along with fried chicken, the QSR serves Korean street food favourites such as cheese corn dogs, tteokbokki, rapokki, ramen, beverages and desserts.
After successful launches in Mumbai and Bengaluru and continued growth in Pune, Seoul Dak is looking to expand its QSR presence further, aiming to bring Korean street food to more urban neighbourhoods across India.
