Refuge, a new bar and restaurant open in Greater Kailash 2 at New Delhi, offering a soulful blend of global cuisine, ingredient-led cocktails, and minimal design. Conceptualized by Founder Aditya Mohan, it blends minimal design, globally inspired cuisine, and an ingredient-driven bar program to create an experience that feels both contemporary and thoughtful.
Spanning two floors, Refuge moves to its own rhythm. The lower level, home to a coffee bar and kitchen, is intimate and unhurried—perfect for quiet conversations. Upstairs, energy builds around a striking 42-foot cocktail bar, among the longest in Delhi. Wrapped in warm walnut and framed by glass, it becomes a natural gathering point, where laughter, conversation, and cocktails flow with ease. Both levels open to treetop and market views, making Refuge not just a destination, but an escape.
Aditya Mohan Founder, Refuge said, “I built Refuge for everyone. Whether you’re having cocktails with friends or a long, leisurely meal or just sipping a glass of wine or a cup of coffee in a corner, I want it to be a good memory. This place should feel like a sanctuary, an elevated experience with food and cocktails can still be inviting and full of warmth. I’m proud and grateful to build a team that shares my philosophy and welcomes guests with this thought too.”
Built on house-made syrups, sodas, and low-waste practices, it unfolds through The Great Migrations—a 12-cocktail journey inspired by six pivotal moments in human history. Highlights include the crisp 996 Gin Fizz, the layered Olive Trail, and the tart, refreshing Embe-ras. The Refuge Reserve extends this exploration with timeless classics—like the Midori Sour and Fog Cutter—handpicked across a century of mixology, rebellion, and cultural shifts. Together, the drinks tell a sensory story shaped by memory, place, and culture.
The kitchen mirrors this spirit with a borderless menu rooted in curiosity and comfort. Playful dishes like Avocado Crossing, the smoky, satay-driven Seriously Screwed, and The Only Pasta—a Jackson Pollock-inspired plate true to its name—blend familiar flavors with unexpected twists. Each creation is precise in presentation, intentional in design, and built to linger. Refuge is more than a bar or kitchen; it is a sanctuary shaped by story and sensibility. Every detail, from the layered menus to the intimate interiors, is crafted to celebrate connection, culture, and craft.
