Minimalist Hotels is preparing to expand its footprint in Rajasthan with the launch of a new boutique heritage property in Udaipur by the end of May 2026. Situated on Bhimparmeshwar Marg with sweeping views of Lake Pichola, the upcoming hotel reflects the brand’s philosophy of combining minimal design aesthetics with immersive hospitality experiences.
The property is housed inside the historic Bawlas ki Haveli, an architectural landmark dating back to 1820. Once presented to a Rajput noble associated with the royal court of Mewar, the haveli was historically used to accommodate esteemed guests during the princely era. Rich in traditional Rajasthani character, the structure showcases classic features such as terracotta-toned walls, ornate jharokhas, and intricate heritage detailing.
Now reintroduced as Minimalist – Lake Pichola Edit, the haveli has undergone a careful restoration that blends its old-world charm with contemporary interiors and modern comforts. The transformation aims to preserve the cultural identity of the property while creating a refined and understated luxury experience for modern travellers.
The boutique retreat will feature 18 thoughtfully designed rooms, including the Maharaja Suite, Maharani Suite, Superior Twin, and Superior King categories. The interiors have been curated to offer a balance of comfort, simplicity, and elegance while staying true to the original character of the haveli.
Adding to the experience, the hotel will also introduce Cabami, a rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking Lake Pichola and the Udaipur skyline. Designed as a lively all-day dining destination, the venue will transition from relaxed daytime settings to vibrant evening experiences paired with scenic views and elevated culinary offerings.
“Udaipur has always been a city that leaves a lasting impression with its beauty, culture, and timeless charm. With this property, we wanted to create more than just a stay, we wanted to build an experience that feels deeply connected to the soul of the city while reflecting the simplicity and thoughtful design philosophy of Minimalist Hotels. Every element of the space has been curated with intention, and we’re excited to finally bring our brand to Udaipur,” said Mr. Gautam Munjal, Founder of Minimalist Hotels.
The launch marks a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to expand its footprint across India’s evolving boutique hospitality landscape, catering to modern travellers seeking meaningful, design-led, and culturally immersive stays.
