The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company unveils Hari Ganga Niwas – IHCL SeleQtions in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. This is brand’s second hotel in Haridwar, after the popular Pilibhit House.

Located beside the Ganges since 1913, the hotel offers calm escape just steps away from the busy riverside market. Rooms open to peaceful views of the river, while Ghar Se, the vegetarian restaurant, serves comforting home-style food made with local ingredients. Guests can enjoy guided heritage walks, local food experiences, and the evening Ganga Aarti at the hotel’s private ghat.

Suba Hotels Limited one of the India’s fastest-growing mid-market hospitality chains, has announced the launch of its Initial Public Offering (IPO). The issue will open on September 29, 2025, and will close on October 1, 2025, with a proposed listing on NSE Emerge scheduled for October 7, 2025.

The IPO will comprise up to 67, 99,200 equity shares of face value ₹10 each, priced between ₹105–₹111 per share, aggregating to ₹75.47 crore at the upper band. Post-issue, the company’s market capitalisation is expected to stand at ₹269.12 crore. Anchor investor bidding is slated for September 26, 2025.

With 88 operational hotels (4,096 keys) across more than 50 cities, Suba Hotels has established a strong mid-market presence, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 destinations. Its pipeline includes 40 additional properties with 1,831 rooms under development. Operating under an asset-light model of owned, managed, leased, revenue-share, and franchised hotels, Suba’s growth is further supported by its exclusive master franchise rights for Choice Hotels’ Comfort, Clarion, and Quality brands in India.

Proceeds from the IPO will be utilised for hotel upgrades, last-mile project funding, and general corporate purposes, enabling the company to accelerate its expansion in both domestic and international markets.

Commenting on the launch, Mansur Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of Suba Hotels Limited, said the IPO marks a pivotal moment in the company’s journey. “Over the last two decades, we have built Suba into a trusted brand with a diversified portfolio across India’s key business and leisure hubs. Carlson to tap pilgrimage centers in South Indian market
 

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is set to tap devotees gathering at major pilgrimage centres in South India by setting up hotels around.

“Carlson Group is one of the world's largest hotel chains. South India has vast potential for religious tourism and the group is focusing its attention to develop hotels in major pilgrimage centres like Tirupati, Madurai and Rameshwaram,” said Raj Rana, CEO, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, South Asia.

The group is planning to open over 20 properties at these locations.

"We have already tapped the pilgrimage tourism potential in northern parts of the country like Ajmer, Varanasi and Haridwar and as part of the expansion of footprint, south (India) is an important destination for such activities," added Rana.

Depending upon availability of partners and locations, the group will open hotels at these locations in next five to seven years.

As the group functions on franchise, management and operation basis, the investments would purely depend on arrangements based on partners and number of hotel rooms.

Presently Carlson has 74 hotels across the country. And there are two hotels in Chennai, one in Mahabilipuram and one in Salem in Tamil Nadu under different brands and 40 more hotels are in the pipeline.

It is also exploring mid segment hotels under the Park Plaza and Park Inn brands in Salem.
