Restaurant India News: Bengaluru Gets a New Rooftop Landmark with Novakan Launch

A new rooftop destination is set to redefine the city’s nightlife and dining scene with the launch of Novakan, perched atop Table Space Terrace (CCD Square) on Vittal Mallya Road.

Overlooking the expansive greenery of Cubbon Park and the city skyline, the venue is already being positioned among the most anticipated hospitality openings in Bengaluru this year.

Derived from the term “New Star,” Novakan aims to emerge as a defining social and culinary hotspot. Designed as a space that evolves through the day, it transitions from relaxed brunch settings to high-energy sunset sessions and late-night gatherings. With its panoramic vantage point, the rooftop offers one of the rare uninterrupted views of Cubbon Park in the city’s central business district, making the landscape an integral part of the experience.

The project marks a collaboration between Table Space, a leading enterprise-managed workspace provider, and VRO Hospitality, known for curating several prominent dining and nightlife concepts across India. The partnership blends design-led infrastructure with experiential hospitality, reflecting a growing trend of lifestyle-driven commercial developments.

Speaking on the launch, Karan Chopra, Chairman and Co-CEO of Table Space, said the company is extending its philosophy of building world-class environments into social and hospitality spaces. Dawn Thomas, Co-Founder of VRO Hospitality, added that the focus was on crafting an experience that matches the uniqueness of the location.

Novakan’s bar program is helmed by internationally recognised mixologist Matteo Cadeddu, associated with concepts featured in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025. His approach, rooted in the “Liquid Surreality” movement, introduces a sensory-driven cocktail experience that goes beyond conventional mixology.

Music at the venue is curated by Alexia Garcia, a Tulum-based DJ known for her organic house and electronic sets, bringing a global sonic identity to the space. Complementing the offering is a menu by Chef Gurudut, whose background includes training in Michelin-starred kitchens, focusing on refined, technique-driven dishes suited to an evolving evening format.

With its blend of location, design, and international talent, Novakan is expected to contribute significantly to Bengaluru’s evolving premium dining and nightlife landscape.
