PizzaExpress Opens Fifth Bengaluru Outlet, Takes India Store Count to 40

PizzaExpress has opened its fifth restaurant in Bengaluru at Forum South Bengaluru, taking its India presence to 40 outlets as the UK pizza brand expands further in one of the country’s key dining markets. The new outlet adds to its existing presence in Indiranagar, Orion Mall and Phoenix Mall of Asia.

Founded by Peter Boizot on London’s Wardour Street in 1965, PizzaExpress now operates more than 330 restaurants in the UK and has a presence across 13 countries.

The Forum South Bengaluru restaurant offers the brand’s signature Dough Balls, Romana pizzas, handcrafted pastas, salads, appetisers, desserts and beverages. Gourmet pizzas for two starts at ₹495. Its Romana range features larger, thinner and crispier bases inspired by Roman-style pizza.

Commenting on the launch, Rohan Pewekar, Group CEO, Gourmet Investments Hospitality Group (GIHG), said, "Bengaluru has always been a strategically important market for PizzaExpress, and the opening of our fifth restaurant in Bangalore reflects our long-term commitment to the city. Forum South Bengaluru enables us to reach a growing community of guests in South Bengaluru while making the brand even more accessible. As we continue to expand across India, our focus remains on delivering exceptional food, consistent quality and the warm hospitality that PizzaExpress is known for."

PizzaExpress uses a signature tomato passata made in Parma, Italy, from San Marzano tomatoes. Its pizzas are prepared with fresh dough, handcrafted daily by pizzaiolos, and baked in traditional ovens. The menu also includes the Calabrese, developed by Michelin-starred chef Francesco Mazzei, featuring Southern Italian flavours, premium cheeses and spicy sausage.

Speaking about the brand's culinary philosophy, Kumar Asit, Brand CEO, PizzaExpress, said, "At PizzaExpress, everything begins with quality ingredients, careful craftsmanship and consistency. From our signature Romana pizzas and iconic Dough Balls to handcrafted pastas, fresh salads, desserts and beverages, every dish is prepared with the same attention to flavour and authenticity. We've created our menu to suit every part of the day, whether it's a quick lunch, an afternoon catch-up, a family dinner or a relaxed evening out. Whatever the occasion, there's something for everyone to enjoy, and that's what PizzaExpress is all about."

The new outlet is open for dine-in and delivery from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM daily. With this, PizzaExpress is expanding its footprint across the city’s major retail and dining destinations.
