Mount Everest Breweries Files DRHP for Rs 300 Crore IPO

Mount Everest Breweries Limited (MEBL) has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with Sebi for an initial public offering that will comprise a fresh issue of up to 11.5 million equity shares. The company is looking to raise Rs 300 crore through the proposed issue, with a large part of the proceeds earmarked for capacity expansion.

Of the proposed Rs 300 crore, Rs 230 crore will be used to partly finance a new brewing facility with a proposed capacity of 1 million hectolitres per annum. Another Rs 70 crore will be deployed towards repayment or pre-payment of certain borrowings. MEBL may also undertake a pre-IPO placement, with any amount raised through the placement adjusted against the fresh issue.

Founded in 1999, MEBL operates across the beer value chain, including brewing, packaging, sales and distribution. Its portfolio covers economy, core and premium beer segments. As of August 31, 2026, the company had a presence across 16 states and three Union territories, with its products available through 22,229 retail outlets and other touch points.

The proposed facility would add to MEBL’s existing brewing infrastructure. The company currently operates two breweries, located in Indore and Mysuru. The Indore facility has an installed capacity of 2 million hectolitres per annum, while the Mysuru facility has a capacity of 0.8 million hectolitres per annum.

MEBL’s proprietary beer portfolio includes Mount’s 6000, Lemount, Mount’s Lager, Dabang and Stok. In addition to its own brands, the company also undertakes contract brewing for third-party brands, giving it exposure to both proprietary and external beer production.

The company has reported a significant increase in revenue over the period covered in its DRHP. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,017.8 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 546.6 crore in FY24. Net profit increased to Rs 53.18 crore in FY26 from Rs 20.36 crore in FY24.

The planned IPO proceeds therefore combine capacity expansion with balance-sheet requirements. The Rs 230 crore allocation towards the proposed brewery is expected to support the company’s next phase of production capacity, while Rs 70 crore has been earmarked for reducing existing borrowings.

Beeline Capital Advisors and Ashika Capital have been appointed as the book-running lead managers for the issue, while MUFG Intime India will act as the registrar. The proposed equity shares are expected to be listed on both the NSE and BSE.

With its existing breweries in Indore and Mysuru, distribution across 16 states and three Union territories, and a proposed additional 1 million hectolitres of annual brewing capacity, MEBL’s IPO plans are centred on expanding production while strengthening its financial position.
