Carlsberg India Limited has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its confidential pre-filing of documents for a proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The company had submitted its draft IPO papers to SEBI under the confidential filing route in July 2026. The mechanism allows companies to submit offer documents to the regulator while keeping them private until they are ready for public disclosure.
Carlsberg India started commercial operations in the country in June 2007 with the launch of Carlsberg Green. Over the years, the company has expanded its presence in India’s beer market with brands such as Carlsberg and Tuborg.
The IPO development comes as the company’s parent, Danish brewer Carlsberg, continues to report growth across key markets. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, Carlsberg recorded 2.8% volume growth, while organic volume growth stood at 1.7%. The Central and Eastern Europe and India region reported 6.2% volume growth during the period.
The SEBI approval marks a key milestone in Carlsberg India’s IPO journey. Details such as the issue size, timing and other terms are yet to be disclosed and will be available once the relevant offer documents are made public, subject to regulatory and corporate approvals.
