Burger Singh Expands to Dehradun Airport, Eyes Growth in Tier ll Transit Hubs

Burger Singh, recognized as India’s largest homegrown burger chain, has opened a new outlet at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. This marks the brand’s second airport-based store and its fifth location in Uttarakhand. The move aligns with Burger Singh’s broader strategy to target transit-heavy zones in Tier ll and Tier lll cities.

The Dehradun outlet operates on Burger Singh’s kiosk-based model, designed for compact, high-throughput environments. This cost-efficient format is intended to enable rapid expansion across key travel hubs without the financial overheads associated with conventional quick-service restaurant (QSR) setups.

Kabir Jeet Singh, Founder and CEO of Burger Singh said, “Our airport strategy is rooted in high-throughput, low-capex formats that allow us to rapidly scale in fast-growing micro markets. With increased mobility in Tier ll and lll cities, airports are becoming significant touchpoints for brand visibility, top-line growth, and consumer acquisition.

The Dehradun launch is part of a larger plan to establish a presence in airports across several cities, including Ranchi, Mangalore, Jammu, Vadodara, Bhopal, Surat, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Rajkot, Imphal, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Chandigarh, Indore, and Varanasi.

In addition to airports, Burger Singh continues to build its footprint across other high-traffic locations such as highways, hospitals, and university campuses. These venues are being leveraged to expand consumer access and improve brand recognition.

Beyond improving convenience for travelers, the Dehradun outlet also contributes to local employment generation and entrepreneurship, particularly through Burger Singh’s franchise-led business model.

As part of its ongoing growth strategy, the company aims to scale its operations to over 300 outlets by the end of FY26. The expansion will be supported by a sub- Rs 20 lakh investment model, streamlined supply chain operations, and collaborations with regional partners.
