Chef Johnson Ebenezer’s journey is a remarkable testament to passion and perseverance in the culinary world. From humble beginnings in St. Thomas Mount, Madras (Chennai), to shaping the culinary landscape on an international stage, Chef Johnson’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Chef Johnson began his professional journey with the prestigious Taj Group of Hotels, where his dedication and natural flair for the craft earned him recognition. His career trajectory saw him aboard international cruise liners and later, in the vibrant culinary landscapes of the United States in the early 2000s. There, he gained exposure to a myriad of global cuisines, refining his skills and broadening his culinary philosophy. In 2010, Chef Johnson returned to India, bringing with him a wealth of global experience and a vision to elevate Indian dining. Between 2014 and 2018, he was instrumental in the conceptualisation of Nadodi, an innovative restaurant in Kuala Lumpur celebrated for its reimagining of South Indian flavours. While Nadodi would go on to achieve international acclaim, Chef Johnson chose to return to India to pursue his next venture, collaborating with Kaushik Raju, a Bangalore-based entrepreneur, to create distinctive culinary experiences.
