Over the years, India has grown as one of the top five markets of PepsiCo and it has eight brands which clock turnover of over Rs 1,000 crore in the market.
RJ Corp, PepsiCo\'s largest bottler in South Asia, will look to accelerate its growth in the country and bridge the gap with Coca-Cola and holds 56 per cent market share in India.
A PepsiCo India spokesperson confirmed the development and said Harsh Rai, CEO and MD of NourishCo Beverages (a Tata PepsiCo JV), will take over the reins from Pota.
The three firms Pepsico, Coca Cola and Bisleri hold 60 per cent of the market share in packaged drinking water segment and rest is shared among the smaller brands.
