Zomato Cluster CEO – South Raj Karan Marhas has announced his departure from the food delivery platform after spending 7.5 years with the company.
Marhas shared the update through a LinkedIn post, reflecting on a tenure that included leadership responsibilities across markets such as Pune, Nagpur, Goa, East India, and Bengaluru. During his time at the company, he managed city launches, operational turnarounds, and financial responsibilities covering P&L, EBITDA, and NOV performance metrics.
His journey at Zomato began as an account manager before progressing into senior operational and regional leadership roles. He later served as City CEO for Goa for nearly two years and was subsequently appointed Cluster CEO – East, a role he held from November 2023 to 2025. Most recently, he was leading the company’s South cluster operations.
In his statement, Marhas described the role as a period shaped by continuous problem-solving and operational challenges, adding that the experience played a significant role in his professional growth. He also acknowledged the support of colleagues, teams, and leadership during his tenure.
Before joining Zomato, Marhas worked with Naukri and Amul, where he gained experience in sales and business operations. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing) from Kirloskar Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Calcutta. While Marhas has not disclosed details regarding his next role, he indicated that he will now move into a new phase of his professional career.
