Restaurant India News: Waayu Introduces Restaurant Mandi to Simplify Restaurant Sourcing with Zero Commission

Waayu, India’s first zero-commission food delivery platform, has launched Restaurant Mandi, a zero-commission supplier marketplace app designed to simplify and digitise restaurant procurement. The platform allows restaurants to source ingredients, equipment and services at transparent prices, helping them manage rising operating costs more efficiently.

Restaurant Mandi aggregates over 80 supplier categories spanning groceries, raw materials, equipment and essential services, all accessible through a single app. Built on a 0% commission model, it eliminates hidden fees, enabling restaurants to retain better margin control, while giving vendors access to over one lakh verified buyers without paying high platform commissions.

The launch aims to tackle long-standing industry pain points including dependence on limited suppliers, price fluctuations, stock shortages and inefficient manual ordering systems.

Commenting on the launch, Anirudha Kotgire, Managing Director and Co-founder of Waayu, said, “Restaurants today are under immense pressure from rising costs and limited pricing control. With Restaurant Mandi, our aim is to offer a transparent, commission-free sourcing platform that eliminates hidden charges and reduces reliance on unreliable vendors.”

Moreover, Waayu’s internal analysis indicates that transparent sourcing can significantly lower operating costs, including expenses related to raw materials, maintenance services, and marketing exposure. By integrating ingredients, equipment, and services on a single zero-commission platform, Restaurant Mandi simplifies vendor management, saves time, and improves overall operational efficiency for restaurant owners.
