Restaurant India News: Narwar Lakefront Resort Adds 21 New Rooms, Doubles Capacity to 41 Keys

Narwar Lakefront Resort, a luxury lakeside property in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, has announced the addition of 21 new lakefront cottages and rooms.

Located on the Sindh River near Madikheda Dam and close to Madhav Tiger Reserve, the resort now has a total of 41 keys, including Premium Rooms, Cottages, and Villas. With this expansion, the property has nearly doubled its accommodation capacity. The added rooms are designed with wooden flooring, soft lighting, and modern furnishings. Each room features a king-size bed, seating area, work desk, and private balcony overlooking landscaped gardens and greenery.

The expansion will allow the resort to host more destination weddings, corporate offsites, retreats, and leisure travellers. It aims to strengthen Narwar’s position as a growing destination for experiential travel and large celebrations in Central India.

Spread across seven acres, the resort offers lake-view and pet-friendly cottages, multiple dining outlets including Boat Club Café, Windmill Café, and Sapor restaurant, along with a swimming pool, fitness centre, and kids’ play area.

Navneet Sharma, CEO and MD, Lion Group, says, “The addition of 41 rooms allows us to welcome larger groups without compromising the personalised environment our guests truly value. This expansion also showcases our commitment to building Narwar into a distinctive destination rooted in nature, heritage, and meaningful hospitality”.

“Our focus has always been on creating a destination rather than simply adding inventory. The expanded capacity enables us to curate larger celebrations, wellness-led stays, and experiential programming while maintaining the quality standards and attention to detail that define the Narwar Lakefront experience,” adds Sharma.

The management said the expansion is expected to boost local tourism, generate employment, and support local vendors, while meeting the rising demand for nature-based luxury stays near Madhav National Park and other heritage attractions in the region.
