Restaurant India News: Monarch Liberty Hospitality Unveils Sorena, a Global-Inspired Duplex Restaurant and Bar in Bandra

Monarch Liberty Hospitality has launched Sorena, a new duplex restaurant and bar spread across nearly 11,000 sq ft on the 11th and 12th floors of Mansionz One on Linking Road, Bandra West. The restaurant brings together globally inspired cuisine, signature cocktails and immersive design in one destination. 

Inspired by the cosmopolitan spirit of Bandra, Sorena draws influence from five iconic cities—New York, Sicily, Mumbai, Tokyo and Istanbul. The concept blends their culinary traditions, cocktail cultures and design sensibilities to create a dining experience that celebrates diversity while feeling distinctly at home in Mumbai.

The interiors combine earthy textures, curated artwork and globally sourced artefacts with panoramic views of Mumbai. A sculptural curved staircase links the two levels, while five distinct dining and social spaces offer guests varied settings, from lively gatherings to intimate conversations. There is Atlas, its island bar inspired by the cocktail traditions of New York, Istanbul, Tokyo, Sicily and Mumbai. The beverage programme showcases original cocktails that reflect the flavours and character of each destination.

The food menu follows the same philosophy, presenting dishes influenced by the five cities without being restricted by geography. Instead of traditional fusion, Sorena focuses on contemporary interpretations that combine global techniques and ingredients into a cohesive culinary experience.

Chef Sachin Kadam, Head Chef at Sorena, says, “As a city, Mumbai has always embraced influences from everywhere and made them its own. At Sorena, we wanted to capture that same spirit through food. The menu reflects a cosmopolitan way of dining, where ideas, flavours and experiences from different parts of the world come together naturally. The result is something that feels familiar yet distinctive, effortless yet thoughtfully crafted.” The cocktail programme, led by Dimi Lezinska, is built less around places than around people - the personas every great metropolis produces. 

“Sorena is about capturing that rare moment when everything aligns people, energy, food and place. Bandra has always had an extraordinary ability to hold many worlds at once.
