ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a 90-room Fortune Select property in Guwahati, Assam, further strengthening its footprint in India’s rapidly growing hospitality markets. The upcoming hotel marks the brand’s significant entry into Guwahati, a key commercial and travel hub in Northeast India.
Scheduled to open in April 2028, the hotel will feature thoughtfully designed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, banquet and conference facilities, along with modern amenities tailored to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers.
Guwahati continues to witness strong tourist and business traffic due to its strategic importance in the region. The city serves as the gateway to Northeast India and is closely linked to major attractions such as the Kamakhya Temple, Kaziranga National Park, Hajo, and the historic Madan Kamdev temple complex, often referred to as the “Khajuraho of the Northeast.”
Commenting on the alliance, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said, “Guwahati is an exceptionally attractive market. It has an evolving business environment with equally interesting leisure spaces. We look forward to meeting the region's growing appetite for quality branded stays and delighting the city with our signature hospitality.”
The latest signing reflects Fortune Hotels’ strategy of expanding across emerging and high-potential destinations in India while offering guests a combination of contemporary hospitality, comfort, and efficient service.
