
IHG Hotels & Resorts, a leading global hotel group, has appointed Jaideep Dang as Head of Development for South West Asia. In this role, Jaideep will oversee the company’s growth initiatives across the region and will report to Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Jaideep brings over 22 years of experience in the hospitality and real estate sectors, with a history of driving results across different markets. He joins IHG from JLL India, where he served as Managing Director – Hotels & Hospitality Group. At JLL, he led advisory and transaction services for India and South Asia, positioning the business as a leader in hotel investment sales and project feasibility advisory. Before that, Jaideep spent eight years with The Oberoi Group as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development.
India remains a key growth market for IHG. Earlier this year, the group celebrated the opening of its 50th hotel in the country and has a pipeline of over 70 hotels across luxury, premium and mainstream categories in high-potential cities. IHG aims to operate 100 hotels in India within the next 3 to 5 years.

Jaideep holds a degree in Architecture from New Delhi and leadership certifications from MIT Sloan School of Management and IIM Bangalore. He is an active member of the National Committee on Tourism with CII and frequently speaks at major industry forums.
IHG currently operates 51 hotels in India across six brands including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express, with 72 more hotels set to open in the next 3 to 5 years. The appointment reinforces IHG’s commitment to expanding its footprint in both established and emerging markets while strengthening its development strategy for sustained growth.
