Café Swasthya has opened its third outlet at MG Road Metro Station (Gate No.1, Shop No. 3), expanding its mission to make healthier food and beverages accessible for people on the move.
Strategically located within the station, the outlet connects easily to nearby malls and residential areas, catering to both commuters and local residents. Securing a space within the metro network marks a key milestone, given the limited and highly selective nature of such retail spots.
Spread across 280 sq. ft., the café offers seating for 10–12 guests. The design stays true to the brand’s minimal, calming aesthetic, with Ayurveda-inspired artwork and visual elements linked to Butterfly Ayurveda.
The menu features select items with revised pricing to improve accessibility. It includes breakfast options, wholesome snacks, herbal beverages, and bakery items. Offerings range from aloo samosas, khatta meetha poha, and kala chana wraps to drinks like masala chai, hot chocolate, herbal teas, and buttermilk. A highlight is the Jivanti Kwath, an Ayurvedic drink made with Ashwagandha, Giloy, and Pippali, known for supporting immunity.
Akshi Khandelwal, Founder of Café Swasthya and Butterfly Ayurveda, noted, “It has always been our vision to transform the way people perceive health and wellness food, while sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda with more people across India. We aim to make it more accessible and inviting, creating offerings that are not just convenient but also nourishing - whether someone is grabbing a quick bite on the go or taking a moment to pause, relax, and recharge during transit. With soft, calming music and smooth Wi-Fi, we’ve created a space where customers can unwind or work while enjoying a cup of tea or a wholesome bite.”
Visitors can scan a QR code available at the café to take a short quiz that helps determine their Ayurvedic body constitution. The menu book also includes information on the concepts of Panchamahabhuta and Tridosha, presented in both English and Hindi to help customers better understand the foundation of Ayurveda.
All Butterfly Ayurveda products - teas, cookies and supplements are available for purchase at the café cum store outlet, making it a one stop wellness solution for the travellers on the go. With this launch, Café Swasthya continues to focus on making everyday wellness convenient through grab-and-go options for urban consumers. This outlet of Café Swasthya has opened in partnership with TNSI retail pvt. Ltd., making it the first wellness café in India that has created its presence within DMRC.
