Restaurant India News: Cohoma Coffee Raises ₹5 Crore in Seed Round Led by Inflection Point Ventures and Swishin VC

Cohoma Coffee, a specialty coffee roaster and machine manufacturer, has raised ₹5 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures and Swishin VC. The company plans to use the funds to expand internationally and scale up its manufacturing capabilities.

Founded by Paritosh Birla and Kanika Birla, the company combines expertise in retail, brand management, finance, and consumer insights. The brand offers a wide range of home-brewing specialty coffee products that can be prepared in under a minute without requiring specialised equipment. Operating on a fully integrated model, Cohoma manages the entire value chainfrom sourcing beans across India, Africa, and South America to roasting and manufacturing its own brewing machines. Its portfolio also includes naturally flavoured coffees made without added sugar or preservatives.

Cohoma has introduced grind-on-demand café kiosks in premium retail stores, allowing customers to choose from over 15 coffee options with guided assistance. The brand has established a strong presence in leading retail chains such as Nature’s Basket and Le Marche.

With an omnichannel approach, Cohoma operates across retail, e-commerce, and partnerships with hotels, corporate offices, cafés, and multiplexes. It also provides end-to-end coffee solutions for the hospitality sector. The company reports a customer repeat rate of over 90%, driven by its focus on quality and consistency. In a market traditionally dominated by players like Nescafé, Café Coffee Day, and Nespresso, Cohoma is building a differentiated presence through a three-tier strategy spanning B2B, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels.
