The taste of Punjab’s cultural capital has finally found a home in Mumbai! After winning hearts in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and Dubai, Amritsr – The Maharaja of Indian Cuisine makes its much-awaited debut in the India’s culinary capital.

With its first restaurant opening in Andheri, Amritsr is ready to serve the city foodies what they’ve been missing: authentic Amritsari cuisine, done right.

Unlike other Indian dining spots, Amritsr prides itself on being the only true Amritsari restaurant. For over 15 years, the brand has crafted its dishes with authenticity and heart. From house-sourced masalas, desi ghee, mustard, saag, soya chunks straight from Amritsar, every bite is rooted in the flavours of Punjab’s food capital.

And it’s not just about dining in Amritsr ensures its food reaches you wherever you are. From Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and Dubai to now Mumbai, the brand delivers across every corner of the city, from its 2 Delivery kitchen's in Bandra and Andheri.

Founded in 2018 with its first outlet in Sukhumvit Soi 22, Bangkok, Amritsr was born from the realization that the authentic taste of Amritsar rarely travels outside its city walls.

Led by hospitality entrepreneur Vicky M. Sethi, Managing Director of King Group Hospitality (KGH), is no stranger to scaling culinary brands. From building Kulcha King in Dubai to creating Amritsr as a global ambassador of Amritsari cuisine, Sethi is passionate about keeping Amritsari food authentic while making it globally accessible.

For Sethi, the launch is personal “Being born and raised in Mumbai, I wanted to bring home what we’ve created globally. This city deserves to taste Amritsar in its truest form. My favourite part of this journey has always been seeing people discover and fall in love with Amritsari food for the first time. For me, it’s not just cuisine it’s a legacy”

Spanning between 3,500 sq. ft., the Mumbai restaurant welcomes up to 150 guests at a time, blending tradition with comfort.

The culinary experience is backed by chefs who have been trained in-house under the founder’s original recipes, ensuring consistent flavors across every city.

It plans to continue expanding across India and coming soon in Bali, taking authentic Amritsari flavours wherever food lovers are ready to embrace them.
